The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Division of the State Fair, is seeking individuals who are interested in temporary employment for the annual 2015 New York State Fair, August 27, 2015 – September 7, 2015.
There are a variety of assignments including: cleaning, general labor/maintenance, ticket takers, ushers and other miscellaneous positions.
The inability to work all twelve days of the Fair will limit available assignments. The work hours, hourly rate and duration of employment varies by assignment. Certain positions are needed 3 to 6 days before and/or after the Fair. Applicants may be subject to background investigation/criminal history checks. Positions for applicants under the age of 18 will require working papers and are limited. The Department does not directly employ the food vendors or concessionaires.
